Responsibilities

HR & Facilities Manager

Batam (Kepulauan Riau)

Responsibilities:

• Key responsibilities of the position: 
• The role will contribute to the learning and development strategy and succession plan and to assist with corporate and ad hoc projects, contributing to the overall strategic development of HR within the organisation
• To manage people issues fairly and in a timely manner to ensure people are treated in accordance with employment law and Company Policies and Procedures
• To manage recruiting, payroll and resource issues, ensuring close co-operation with managers
• To manage GA team which oversee travel, transportation, security, gardener, and catering
• To manage company facilities and maintenance team, ensuring high availability on site operations equipment and compliance to health and safety standard
• To manage individual and team performance, coaching and mentoring staff
• To be a role model for the company’s values and behaviours
• The role will extend to provide HR services for Inmarsat staff who based in Australia and New Zealand

Requirements:

• Essential knowledge and skills:
• Professionally qualified in the HR & Facilities field
• Has minimum 3 years experiences as HR Manager and preferably similar experiences managing Facilities
• Detailed knowledge of Employment Law and changes in HR practice, including equal opportunities/diversity issues, and their impact to HR, resource and change management
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent English and Indonesian Language Skills – both written and spoken
• Ability to work as part of a Global HR team, with strong communication and coordination skills.
• From time to time it may be a requirement to change normal working hours due to operational needs. National and international travel may also be required.

Responsibilities:

• QC inspections: material checks, production progress reports, finished product inspections
• Advise sub contractors on work plans, materials, tools, resources
• Assist sub contractors in interpreting design drawings and specifications
• Provide QC and technical advice on all electrical components, installation procedures and quality assurance.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Supervisor / Coordinators specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.
• General experience in steel fabrication industry
• Willing to work in Batam
